Neighborhood Cenacles
The parish is beginning a new initiative to bring Jesus and faith formation to your neighborhood and closer to you starting after Labor Day. Small groups (Cenacles) will be meeting in homes or meeting spaces on a variety of days and times (see schedule here). These meetings are intentionally informal and facilitated by parishioners, who are trained and prepared with professional presentation materials. Each cenacle will study the same material so that we as a parish can be united and formed together. Read the Pastor's letter HERE. Contact the parish office by phone at (202) 554-7863 or by email to register or if you have any questions.

St. Dominic Cenacle
The group takes its inspiration from the image and spirituality of the Upper Room in the New Testament, the room where the Last Supper happened, where Jesus appeared to His disciples as risen from the dead, and where the Holy Spirit descended upon the Church at Pentecost. The group activities consist of weekly meetings, various service opportunities, and occasional outings and events. The weekly meetings are on Monday nights via Zoom at 7 pm.
Sunday Evenings Film Series
We frequently offer various film series on Sunday evenings, involving either inspiring movies, documentary series on social and moral issues, or catechetical films. Check this week's bulletin, located under the "bulletins" tab, to find out what we are showing presently.
Lay Fraternity of St. Dominic
Members of the Fraternities of St. Dominic (also known as Lay Dominicans, the Third Order of St. Dominic, or Dominican Tertiaries) are lay men and women who are fully incorporated members of the Order of Preachers and live out their Dominican vocation in the world. They have been active at this parish since the early 1900s. Their mission is that of the Order: to spread the Word of God. The life of a Lay Dominican focuses on four areas: prayer, study, community, and apostolate. They share in the spirituality of the Order and strive to deepen their knowledge of the Faith through retreats, days of reflection, and chapter meetings. They seek not only their own salvation but that of others. For more information, visit the following website, or contact the parish at [email protected] or 202-554-7863
Knights of Columbus: O'Boyle Council
The Knights of Columbus is an organization of Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, Patriotism, and defense of the Priesthood. Based out of St. Dominic Parish, the Patrick Cardinal O'Boyle Council #11302 of the Knights of Columbus has also been serving the parishes of St. Peters on the Hill, St. Joseph, and St. Vincent de Paul since 1904. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and is unequivocal in its loyalty to the pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Venerable Fr. Michael J. McGivney founded the Order in 1882 and remains true to them today. Local activities include parish upkeep and maintenance, programs to support St. Peter's School, support for seminarians/vocations, pro-life activities, coats for kids, food drives, and active participation in our parish ministries. For more information, please visit the O'Boyle Council webpage.
